Joy Battista

"Joy Battista" stands for the Joy of John the Baptist at the presence of Christ.

"And how have I deserved that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, the moment that the sound of thy greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leapt for joy." Luke 1:43-44

This blog is dedicated to all who seek the Joy of Christ's presence in their own lives.
This blog is also dedicated to the unborn, for John the Baptist was an unborn when he leapt for joy at the presence of Jesus who was also unborn at the time.

St. Agnes of Assisi | Saint of the Day | AmericanCatholic.org

I've been thinking about my mom a lot lately! And today is the feast day of her confirmation saint....St. Agnes. Since mom has passed away I can't ask her if this is "the" St. Agnes that is her confirmation saint. If it is though, it's not surprising that she is very tied to one of my favorite saints, Saint Francis of Assisi. Regardless if it's the same Agnes I hope my mom is having a great time up in Heaven with St. Agnes of Assisi today, celebrating. Click on the following link for a short bio of a wonderful contemplative, St. Agnes of Assisi.
