Joy Battista

"Joy Battista" stands for the Joy of John the Baptist at the presence of Christ.

"And how have I deserved that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, the moment that the sound of thy greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leapt for joy." Luke 1:43-44

This blog is dedicated to all who seek the Joy of Christ's presence in their own lives.
This blog is also dedicated to the unborn, for John the Baptist was an unborn when he leapt for joy at the presence of Jesus who was also unborn at the time.

Rosary for Peace

A group of women have begun a weekly rosary for peace. We have been meeting since January of this year. If you are from Lincoln, NE you are welcome to join us every Wednesday afternoon from 2:30pm-3:00pm at the Holy Spirit Adoration Chapel (Pink Sisters). We meet in the Aurora room which is to the right and left of the little book store located just inside the main entrance. Small children are welcome. We begin each weeks rosary with the prayer below which was composed by one of the women who attends regularly. This prayer will explain the mission of our weekly rosary. Won't you join us in person or in spirit?

We come before you, Lord, at the call of your holy Mother, as Christians united in prayer for peace, unable to bring this peace about on our own.

In our powerlessness, we surrender ourselves in utter completeness to our omnipotent Father. In our littleness, we surrender our minds to the omniscience of His Son. In our weakness, we surrender our hearts to the burning love of His Holy Spirit.

Our prayer is for peace that begins in our own hearts, spreads to the hearts of our families and finally ignites our schools, parishes and world with the Love of Jesus. We recall His words, “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” (Luke 12:49) May we be fodder for His fire of love, soldiers for his gospel of peace! Amen.
